EXPERIENCE SHARING SESSION WITH ALUMNI TO BIOINDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS BY MISS SUGANTHI RAVI (QUALITY CONTROL MICROBIOLOGIST-BIOCON SDN BHD)

Sunday, 02nd May 2021, a virtual Experience Sharing Session with Alumni was organized by Bioindustrial Technology Club, Faculty of Bioengineering and Technology lead by Dr. Mardawani Mohamad. Miss Suganthi Ravi is a Quality Control Microbiologist from Biocon SDN. BHD, also our alumni, was invited to share her career journey and working experience to the Bioindustrial Technology students. The sharing session was attended by more than 50 students and six lecturers from Bioindustrial Technology Course.

Throughout the one-hour sharing session, students were introduced to bioindustrial technology and the importance of safety and quality control in bioproduct production. It was also a fruitful session because, as an alumnus, she also shared his exciting stories and experiences while working as a quality control microbiologist. The session was followed by a Q&A session where the students could ask the speaker about job-related matters, and they got much feedback from the speaker. Overall, the sharing session was conducted successfully, and a lot of feedback was obtained from the students after the sharing session. We do hope that the students were able to benefit from this experience-sharing session. Thanks to all the students, alumni, and lecturers who are joining and commit to this programme. It is hoped that similar programs can be continued in the future and become a medium for sharing knowledge and experience to students.
